Brussels Airlines seat selection on codeshare flight

Be aware that wen you reserve on Brussel airline web site, seat selection is not available on codeshared flight.
Even when selecting Bizz&Class, Flex&Fast ou Light&Relax, which state that you can select your seat for free !
As I wanted the availability to select seat for our group, so I've paid more for nothing as I can't choose before check-in.

What doesn’t work? I have been able to book seats on SN with LX, LH, UA etc tickets and flight numbers, both in C short haul and in C long haul.

I think OP means the other way around, ie using the SN website to ticket SN codeshares on SN-082 stock.

One of the reasons to avoid codeshares...

Exact!
I can't chose on the outbound wich is OS.
But well on the inbound wich is SN.

I agree completely. SN website is horrible. I do all my seat assignment on SN flights via LH website.

I tried but seat selection is unavailable !

I had a answer from customer relation.

"Dear Sir,

Thank you for your email regarding the difficulty in selecting seats on flight OS00352 from Brussels to Vienna on 29 June 2018.

I understand how difficult the situation must have been for you and beg you to accept my sincere apologies.

Let me inform you that seat selection is only possible for flights only Brussels Airlines.

The flights in partnership with other companies (especially those operated by these companies), the seats should be distributed by this company.

This is part of the agreements that Brussels Airlines binds to these companies.

I regret not being able to respond favorably to your request.

Hoping to keep your confidence, I beg you again to apologize for the inconvenience."

And also after I had ask for some miles compensation.
Don't see then point with the luggage, I was asking for seat selection and paid for it !

As stated in my previous email, the luggage is included in the price of the ticket and it can not be dissociated.
