Free seat selection for *Gold booked on LH?

As Star Alliance Gold, do I have to pay $35 to reserve a seat? Flying EWR-MUN.

Depends on your booking/cabin class. Eco Lite fares you have to pay.

*A Gold unfortunately does not have any privileges in seat reservations except for their own SEN/HON.

Yes, you have to pay if you're flying economy. *G does not include a seating benefit. PE, J, and F passengers can reserve seats for free.

You're thinking of intra-Europe. LH doesn't have TATL lite fares (yet).

Not only do you have to pay for seat assignments, K class earns 0 miles (and 0 status miles) if you credit to UA.

That sucks but considering we snagged 4 tix to FCO via MUN for around $600 RT each, I will forgo the miles.

LH A340-300 front toilets only for crew?

On the seatguru website are several complaints that passengers in business class cannot use the front toilets because they are reserved for crew only.
The few loos behind are used by ALL passengers.
Is that LH policy still in force/ Planning to fly SAN-FRA soon and would like to know.

Essential question about the toilet situation! I'd vote up if that was an option around here!

UA earning rule for K fare eff 01MAR18

This earning change is probably listed elsewhere, but I thought this updates comment of existing rule by tods27...

As of 01MAR18, M&M <K booking class> (Not booked on "016" United ) will earn 25% base miles plus UA elite tier bonus.
With UA, one must ticket all flights on "016" stock to earn PQD - Premier Qualifying Dollars.

So does the fare class matter? Can a Y fare get an advanced seat assignment for free?
