M&M going revenue based [for award miles on LH group tickets] 12MAR2018

As I can see in my Miles & More app: "Change to the way award miles for flights are allocated. As of 12.3.2018, Miles & More will award miles based on revenue."

M&M going revenue based [for award miles on LH group tickets] 12MAR2018

Hi all

The news section of my M&M App shows an info stating that the collection of award miles will be changed to revenue based by 12. March 2018. There is a link to "more information" , but it is a dead link.

Can someone confirm this information and does someone has more info?

Looks like the next round of "enhancements" based on "customer requested" is coming.

Best
mbr

M&M going revenue based 12.03.18?

According to the LH App, M&M will be going revenue based on 12.03.2018.
The link points here:
https://www.miles-and-more.com/onlin...l=de&cid=18002

(However, the link is still dead.)

Let's see how this pans out.
probably not well....

I take it this is March 12th, which seems like an odd start date. And seems to be prompted by AF/KL's upcoming change to their program. I wonder if this also means that they will be replicating their upcoming change to the formulation for elite qualification (and which is basically what BA is already doing).

When they changed the earning rates for Z they honoured existing bookings @200% I have a number of A class bookings for next year & all purchased at the existing promised earning rates & I will expect them to honour those

After the eggendorfer court case LH/M&M said it would announce changes with a 3 month lead time... this probably explains the weird March start date.
totti and superpointsLXflyer like this.

What are "premium miles"? I knew they had Award-, Status-, Select- and HON-miles. They also have a Premium Economy class. Never heard of "Premium miles" though.

Award miles calculation changes 12MAR2018: 4 award miles for ticket fare and YQ purchased on LH Group ticket stock via LH distribution channels and 6 for SEN/HON. GDS sales and other airlines remain the same. No change for Status, HON Circle and Select miles.

So paying the 16 EUR GDS fee could actually be a good deal for cheap Z and A tickets

From what I understand if a flight costs 91e (without taxes ) in K class (intra Europe) - I would earn as ftl 6times the miles ? 91x6=546 miles.. ?
instead of 125 (or 250 if it was roundtrip)..
wait where's the catch ?is this an actual enhancement ?
also they mention only award miles, guess they have different plans for status miles..
