Do you know how to input a M&M number into SAS?

I guess it’s just the number (?) — I mostly did the other way round i.e. SK into LO/LH/SN/OS/LX, being EB plus status (S/G/D) followed by the number.

Just as a data point – I attempted to check-in the return flight on behalf of the Mrs (I was flying to BEG myself instead hence this time I didn't have the sitting together's stress ) and OU automatically assigned seats for both flights (i.e. SJJ-ZAG operated by OU itself and ZAG-WAW on LO). I wonder (but that's just a guess) whether that's because on-line check-in for flights out of Sarajevo is handled by Travelport via the airport's web page (which, admittedly, I was aware of as I do this fairly often but I had to step-in when the Mrs started whining that the LOT website wouldn't allow her to check-in, which is true as it will just tell you that you can only do this at the airport ).

Wait, so if I get a message "check in at the airport", that might actually mean "check in online at the airport website"?

Huh. That's new to me.

Indeed, but only at certain airports (my experience being limited to SJJ but also BEG with a few airlines). I only found out by chance myself looking at the airport’s web page and somewhat intrigued by the web check-in’s tab on the home page. I’ve been flying out of Sarajevo since just after the war when only a couple of airlines (LH was the first to restart operations back in 1998 if memory serves right) operated [some sort of] regular service and duly checked-in at the airport for quite some time until I learned of the above option (the good news is that self check-in kiosks have also been recently installed in the main hall)

I can confirm that I was able to obtain web check in boarding passes for LO and a partner airline (just a chec in agreement on this case). I can also confirm OU are a Star Alliance carrier.

It seems there is new LOT website bug: it is not currently possible to enter passport/API information as the drop-down date tool is broken and always returns a message saying "your document is expired" even if it is not. I tried calling LOT but they said they are not allowed to input personal data over the telephone so I will have to check in manually at the airport. (She also said this had been a known problem for some time.) Annoyingly, this means I am likely to get the last pick of the seats as I cannot check in at -24h.

Of course, I could buy a pre-assigned seat ... except that system is also broken; when you attempt to pay it returns a blank error message.

What a shambles!

I get the impression it depends on your reservation. I have had mixed experiences depending on the booking. Some are accepted in the system and others are problematic.

Do you have a LOT ticketing desk at your local airpot? They might be able to help you as it's in person.

Good idea, it's the inbound portion of my journey (different ticket outbound) so I might just go to the LOT checkin area when I depart and fix it.

I meant more if you happen to be at the airport and I really do mean the ticket office or LOT information counter. I think it’s two different systems and they’re not likely to have you in the system for the day.

Apart from the usual issues I’ve been experiencing with check-in/seat selection on OU’s operated services to/from SJJ (LO codeshare), I’ve never had problems with API and I was able to check-in (through website, desktop version) for my incoming BEG flight which, needless to say, involves passport data.

Do OU have a codeshare on the LO flight?

P.S.: LO’s web check-in opens at -36.

G
I think automatic check in is -48 but not available for API flights.

Sure it does, the WAW-ZAG-SJJ itinerary is sold through the LO website (as well as OUs).
