Only on revenue tickets. Award tickets always include luggage.

I think that reservation shows only standard allowances based on the class, not additional based on the status. So, IMHO @duvin is right...

Your original post is about award ticket, so nothing different about Aegean. However, if talking about revenue ticket, there is a plethora of information all around here...

Sorry to resurrect an old thread...

Booked an UA award - flying OS in Y.

UA booking shows 0EUR charge for the first bag, so I read that one piece is included.

With *G I should be also able to check-in one more bag for free?

More worryingly, OS MMB shows economy basic ticket and no luggage allowance whatsoever. Shall I assume this is an error in their IT and I should still have 1 bag [plus status] allowance.

I’m in the same situation for a flight tomorrow. (But regular MP member, not elite)..
I called Austrian and they told me that since it is a UA award ticket, one piece of luggage is included.
I’ll find out for sure tomorrow...

In utrumque paratus

I checked one piece of luggage with no problems whatsoever, or comments, from the gate agent.
So, one piece of luggage is indeed included.

Equally, I had no issues checking two bags in VIE.

All UA e-ticket receipts are required by US law to provide the baggage allowance for the ticket. The receipt also shows the fee, if any, for the first and second bag. That information will display at check-in both for UA and other *A carriers (other than at some outstations).

This makes life relatively easy as you can see for yourself what the check-in agent will see and, if the information is wrong, call UA and have it corrected.
