I thing - in line with Polish etiquette - it should be 'Pani Basia'

But in my mind I feel like I'm saying BASHER, as in, "to bash" and I find that very appropriate. Basher on her lovely quiet, premium Dash.

No more TLV from both GDN/RZE (as of OCT21), plus yet another route from BUD is strongly rumoured (ICN).

Talking about TLV. Wizzair announced the route from KRK. So KRK-TLV is now operated by LOT (I think I missed this) , El Al, Ryanair and soon by W6.

RZE could have been a subsidy route?

There's very little left of the Jewish community in RZE and and its an easy day trip from KRK and to cover Łańcut as well. Also worth remembering that a great number of visitors are coming from the US anyway.

There's charter flights to visit Leżajsk (Lizhensk) but most people I know just drive there from KRK.

RZE citizens are not big spenders and TLV is quite expensive.

All Israel routes from regional airports were subsidized by Israeli Government for the first year of operation. Ever seen the Two Cities One Trip Jerusalem+Tel Aviv ads? That’s part of the same program. So after a year passes, the unsustainable ones get discontinued.

Plus the regional PL airports are allowed to give LO some cash to start a new route. Its a hidden scheme for EU governments to pump cash into their state airlines when required.

It seems that Belgrade is also in the pipeline. If these (i.e. BEG/ICN) are confirmed, LOT would be operating the following routes out of Budapest:

BEG
OTP
BRU
LCY
JFK
ORD
ICN

Because I was not paying attention, this came as a surprise to me on my June WAW-JFK and return flights. Air Belgium business class was terribly uncomfortable. The business class meal service involved a lot of food/beverage carts in the aisle. Although 2 starters were listed on the menu only one was available. The in-flight entertainment was terrible. The best part of the flight was the blanket. Was told the wet lease contract was through Sept.
