Over at VFT they figured out a change that plugs a loophole: if mileage earning rules are changed (eg P earns 75 instead of 100 effective 01DEC2020) you earn miles according to the rules valid on the day you took the flight, not what was in the rules the day you bought the ticket.

Not sure the word "loophole" is correct; some people may call it "ethical business conduct" to not unilaterally change the T&Cs after concluding a contract. But of course this is the world of airlines and FFPs we're talking about...
