I usually suggest to avoid bulkheads in LH C. In the past two months I took the F-less A330 4 times, sitting in 3C, 5C, 10K and 4C.

Try to get a window/aisle (AC or HK) in row 3 or 4. Row 5 you get disturbed by the light in the galley and some noise, row 10 you have some HVAC noise from a blower.

The footsie /\ seats (DG) now have a larger/better divider, which is about the size of a legal/A4 sized sheet. I have not tested those.

LH removing F from FRA-based A330s?

I've been searching randomly for First Class flights, and to me it seems like Lufthansa is not selling F from Frankfurt on the A330s after 13 Jan 2018. It includes these routes:

FRA-JED/ADD
FRA-KWI
FRA-DOH
FRA-LAD

Anyone knows why? I thought the removal of F on the A330s was only supposed to happen on the MUC-based ones?

The Expertflyer seat map for FRA-JED looks like this from 14 Jan 2018 onwards:

Not selling F doesn't equate to removing F from an aircraft type?

But that is basically all A330 destinations from FRA. And since LH has already announced that they are removing F from all A330s based at MUC...

While those routes are not all the 330 destinations, the others I've checked (like DFW, DTW) show the same fate... So this might indeed be a very sad indication...

This would be very sad news indeed, if true. I love LH F; while it's not always amazing, it's so, so much better than J.

I think before LH management decide to remove F cabin on the A333 let them first have a decent business class hard product @:-)

this will make upgrading on LH near impossible. 748s and 388s are really tough ... the 330s were so much easier.

Yes, upgrading to F on a LH 788 is indeed tough...

Seriously, plane type doesn't impact your chances of upgrading to F as all LH planes with F have 8 seats up front. It's the route that makes it harder or easier.

I guess management would be happy to have this confirmation that they are making the right decision.

Well, of course it does! The J/F ratio is much worse so your chances are much lower. If I look at my ability to clear a J --> F upgrade there is a huge difference between the 330s and the 748/388.

That depends ... they might no longer get my full fare refundable J ticket if I can no longer upgrade to F ... is that a good decision? Not so sure. Quite a few pax on last minute expensive business class fares ... this is where LH earns their money. I am already refusing to fly their A350 ... more business for other *A carriers.
