Senator Status expires today

My Senator status expires today. Anything useful I can do while I still have it?

As a side question: would I get the fee for the M&M card waived for this year?

Thanks!

You could still book awards and use the advantages that come with SEN, I guess. Other than that I am not aware of any things you can do.

Regarding you second question, I assume you are referring to the M&M credit card. If I am not completely mistaken they will charge the annual fee pro-rata that is, if you got your credit card in October and will have to pay for the reminder of the year starting March 2016 (65 Euro / 7 month). Please correct me, if I am wrong but I recall it being that way.

When I was debased to a lowly FTV, LH offered to subsidise the M&M Business CC twice. So I never paid more than EUR 65 for the remaining two years as lowly Silver.

It is my last day as SEN too and flew with Swiss. It was funny when purser came over to thank me being a loyal customer.

PIL shows SEN.
The MdC did not know it was your last day as SEN.

I'm giving up on Star Alliance. Not sure which program should I put into for occasional flight. Also with this flight have 1 regular C TATL reward or 2 meilenschnapchen C awards

Advice one day late, but - book any upcoming trips. I booked some while I still was SEN and was allowed into SEN lounges with one guest long after my status had expired.

But that is very difficult to do.

I still do the credit card collecting and need to maintain *G status to survive regular travel within their vast empire. But of course SEN is the wrong approach - cost wise - to get access to the *A privileges.

Hi,

I can imagine this happening in the SEN lounges in Germany but in others, where you have to show also the card, did it work?

I can only speak for the Swiss (Cornercard & Swisscard-issued) M&M credit cards, where I have recently inquired on the subject: Once you loose your SEN status, the annual fee starts kicking in at the next annual renewal of the card.
