You're aware thats exactly what I wrote?

Only way to avoid getting Light when booking via an OTA is combining two different airlines, but then the prices go up (as Light won't be available anymore)
Regarding seat reservation, that's simply not an official *A benefit. End of line

I'm actually curious about this one: I booked TXL-BUD on LH in Light, but later got lucky and won one of their 1000 upgrades and got upgraded to C.

Now, the LH site doesn't show any luggage allowance and say I've booked Light - but the etix mentions 2pc.

I'm thinking that having the allowance on eticket trumps anything that LH has in their systems elsewhere, but not sure if that's actually true.

eticket will show your correct allowance. The business upgrade discussed in this thread (not the manual upgrade you got) doesn't change the fare or baggage allowance of the ticket.

I know - I just didn't want to create another thread just to ask that one question.

Thanks!

LH A320 J - need clarification

Flying LH this week through FRA. Connecting flight both ways is on a320. Already upgraded the first leg (747-8) with united GPU. Debating whether there is any value to paying $115 to upgrade each leg on the a320 (3 hr flight each way).

Currently seated in row 15 (exit row). My number one goal is leg room. Please advise where I'm best off - biz or exit row (15)

Thanks

Exit row by far. Use the money to buy yourself food and drinks in the terminal.

Exit row for leg room.
Business class for guaranteed shoulder room.
Using the paid upgrade, you may also qualify for higher mileage accrual.

I agree with exit row for leg room, but row 15 isn't exit row in LH's A320.

AFAIK A320 doesn't have a proper exit row like rows 10/11 and row 26 on the A321. Row 11 on the A320 is marked as an exit row but only has a little more legroom than other rows and is not what I'd call an exit row.

I don't recommend paying for an upgrade on one of LH's A320 aircraft. The Business class cabin is a joke; all it is a guarantee that the middle seat will be empty and the same seats and same legroom available in the Economy cabin. All it might otherwise get you is a better meal.
