First time flying LH & LX post pandemic and have a few questions regarding an upcoming itinerary, and any insight would be very helpful:
1. We are flying CDG-LAX in First (Biz on the CDG-MUC leg) next month: what is the situation at CDG T2B? I'm used to flying them out of T1 and have never experienced T2B. Anything to be aware of? How early before the flight should we plan on being there.
2. Once we land in MUC: what's the situation to get to the First Class Lounge? Do we get car service between planes and lounge, etc? (I'm so spoiled with AF La Premiere service so please forgive the question).
3. LX out of LAX: what is the service/lounge situation there? Do we get escort through security etc? What lounge is being used? Any other advice? Last time I flew that leg in First, we had a screaming toddler in the First cabin for the entire 11h flight 🙄

As I said, thanks a lot for any insight. It is deeply appreciated.
CDG T2B is much nicer than T1, the checkin desk is located at 2B but the gates at 2D. The lounge is best avoided, so be there 60-90 min before departure and enjoy the open airy concourse instead of a dingy hole.

In MUC you deplane and go to the FCL on foot. If you have an outside/apron position there may be a limo pickup. However, CDG arrivals usually get a jetway.

Hi there - trying to arrange some backup plans in case my SAS flight in cancelled. We are going from ARN to FAO on July 14th. Eurowings has a flight through DUS and I can see the cash price, but how can I check to see how many miles it would take? I signed up fro a Lufthansa Miles & More account and I can choose the flight but I don't see how many miles it would be -- just says I don't have enough. I believe I could transfer some Amex points over.

Miles & More is not a transfer partner for AmEx.

Thank you for that information. Do you know if there is a way to check how many miles flight is?

Amex -> Payback -> M&M is the way to go to transfer MR into M&M Miles.

I was looking around this site and saw this page listing Amex as a partner, specifically on the Swiss page. Haven't found a way to actually transfer points but was surprised to see this page

Hello! I'm not sure this is the right place to ask this but I'm flying transatlantic with EW Discovery and am being offered an upgrade to Premium Economy for 180 EUR or Business Class for 460 EUR on the return flight. I was wondering how common these prices are? Both seem reasonable to me on a 700 EUR Economy return ticket.

I'm looking to purchase other transatlantic flights so if this is common, it might be worth it to book Economy and upgrade afterwards. Or am I wasting my time with EW Discovery upgrades?

How long does it actually take to normally get a status card? I found this article which claims ~2 weeks (plus a bit of extra time for postage to outside of DE - https://www.miles-and-more.com/de/en...atus-card.html), but it has been over 4 weeks now, and I am just wondering if they sent it to an old address that I signed up with ages ago (which I also changed away from ~2 years ago). Just wondering what other people's experience is overall with it.

I think it takes longer than two weeks now. If you call Miles and More they can confirm that they mailed it and to which address.

Currently they are quoting many weeks….. however just use the virtual card in your online account or the app
