"Myoffer" bidding when accepted by LH also changes the booking code letter (e.g. from Q to E or N to Z)?

My bid offer for MUC-DEL-FRA from "Q/M, respectively" to P.E. is 205-650 USD (mid-January). Which is the minimal amount which should be accepted? Thanks

Both myoffer and cash upgrade in advance give you a new booking class, but they changed the logic, its the next lowest open booking class that is open at the time of upgrade. The airport upgrade doesn't change anything and you are just reseated against the fee.

FRA-JFK $630 from Premium Economy N

Fixed price upgrade of US$630 from Premium Economy (N) class to Business on FRA-JFK, two months before flight. Any experience as to whether this amount is likely to go up or down and how it compares with the Plusgrade myOffer minimum bid? The cheapest business fare is $955 more.

A couple of years back they offered the same price for an upgrade N to Business on MUC-JFK prior to departure day and even at the airport on the day of the flight. We declined the offer.

I am afraid it will stay like this. The PE to C upgrades are not a good value. It’s usually cheaper to book a return flight in C instead of booking PE and try to upgrade. Saying that, the minimum bid is usually a bit cheaper than the fixed price.

That strategy can work for you unless you are either "hub captive" or starting your trip from Germany.

PHL-FRA recently, for PE->J: started seeing offers around 620. As the flight came closer, that creeped up to 800, then 1200. Fare differential would've been around 1000 (but I was connecting beyond FRA, so the J-fare would've also given me short-haul J, which the cash offer wouldn't).

Does LH make cash upgrade offers for 016 tickets

I'm very new to LH but have an upcoming itinerary with them (US to ADD via FRA). The ticket is issued by UA (016 stock) with UA flight numbers.
Would LH offer upgrade purchase options for this kind of ticket either online or at the airport? Would calling UA to switch from UA codes to LH codes change the ability to receive an upgrade offer?

I have been offered and bought the fixed price upgrade offers (€300 from 'K' economy class to Premium Economy) when booked on a UA 016 ticket last week. I don't think I was offered the bidding option, though I didn't look so hard for it.

You will be able to purchase an upgrade at the airport of even at the gate but the price will be quite expensive. Regarding online options i am afraid i do not know.

Did some poking around and learned that the fixed-price online offers (through LH.com) appear on 016 tickets, but only when the flight numbers are LH. I ended up with a ticket that’s half LH numbers and half UA numbers after asking UA to switch the outbound codes, and only then did offers appear for my outbound.

By the way, are the offers I’m seeing now (~25 days out) likely to remain stable until departure, or does LH do dynamic upgrade pricing?

The fixed price is dynamic. The bidding is not as far as I know. Also apart from gate upgrades you can buy an upgrade from Y to PE during the flight but the price is usually not competitive ( I think on my flight to Mexico City the price was something 350 euros).

Finally got to get my ticket reissued and took a peek at the cash upgrades:

MUC-FRA: 1780 (21€) (Y to P)
FRA-BOM: 21660 (248€) (E to P)

Still planning to burn an evoucher for the longhaul segment and the 20 min flight doesn't need an upgrade that diminishes my mileage earnings
