I have seen SFO, which is usually around the same price as LAX, go for around $330 from discounted Y to PE (if N is available). Y to P is around $730.

sounds like a good and fair price. I am currently being offered 4000+ For a ZRH-ORD in May.

Have an 016 booked ticket to BIO in March in basic economy K ($700 RT). Was booked as IAH-FRA-BIO-FRA-AUS-IAH (all LH metal except AUS-IAH). FRA-AUS was canceled, so was rebooked on BIO-MUC-IAH which was canceled, so I was rebooked on BIO-FRA-IAH on LH metal.

We were offered a $729/person to upgrade IAH-FRA and we decided to splurge and take that. The other upgrade offers were tending to bounce around all over the place day by day. We were planning on bidding for PE on the return, but one day we were offered a $329 confirmed upgrade to biz on FRA-IAH, so jumped at that. It also offered BIO-FRA for $29/person to biz, which is about the same as just buying a seat assignment at $16. LH also offering me to bid for First on both IAH-FRA and FRA-IAH, but the minimum bid is $1090.

We are traveling with a different couple on an LH-booked itinerary who booked a refundable fare class, and they paid the same $759/person to upgrade IAH-FRA but now none of the confirmed upgrades are working on the LH site and LH phone rep can't offer a confirmed paid upgrade on the return. Bidding is available and they're going with a $250ish bid to PE. Min bid to business is in the $550 range.

So just to make sure I understand this from your last post.

You can save 30% on these fixed price upgrades, but ONLY if the flight is less than 6 weeks away, right?
