Heathrow Terminal 2 - Senator lounge - no champagne?

Live-altering question: is there really no Champagne in the Senator lounge in Heatrow?

And out of curiosity: which other Senator lounges do not have Champagne?

They have DO&CO prosecco, not quite champagne but not the worst alternative either.

Yes indeed. I must admit I much prefer their Duval Leroy. Anyhow, thanks for confirming it.

It's not like the SKC in SIN where they serve the same champagne as the LH in the FCT (Bollinger).

AFAIK all SEN lounges serve 'champagne' on demand and only offer some kind of bubbly as self serve

That is what I thought, before visiting the SEN lounge in LHR. Asked a staff member for a glass, as one would do in other SEN lounges. I was told they don't have anything but the self-serve prosecco. She also asked colleagues who confirmed that. Well. Worse things can happen.

Bollinger is no longer served at the FCT - at least not currently.

No champagne in SEN lounges at:
- ZRH
- CDG what a shame! was enhanced away over 2 years ago already, instead there is quite a good Crémant.
- VIE
- MXP
- to be continued other outstations

Surely it's not the end of the world, since there are three other lounges in LHR T2 that serve Champagne. Just go to the United Club and they'll happily pour you a glass of the good stuff.

Doesn't that just demonstrate where LH are in their quest for 5* airline, that UA clubs have better offerings

Yes, replaced by Pol Roger, good choice of others also but one has to head to MUC FCL for Pommery Cuvée Louise

UA offers real champagne in the lounge?

IIRC the champagne they serve in int'l business class retails for <10Euros/bottle, so not impossible I guess.
