LH at Tampa (TPA)
Does someone know if the A340-300 configuration used for FRA-TPA is the old business seat or new business seat?
I read some articles that it would be a "Jump" configuration with new business seats when the route was first announced a year ago. I could not find a PDF seat map for the Jump configuration on the LH site. The seat checker (http://www.lufthansa.com/de/en/Business-Class-Product) says it is old J.

There were some cabin pictures posted on this news site http://www.wtsp.com/. More video from the on-board reporter is slated for some time after 5PM, EST.
I understand that the LH CEO is also on board.

Hey Oliver, I cannot find the 18 seat biz class seat map for this service. Perhaps you can post it? Is the meal service the same as across the North America offerings?
But I do not believe there are only 2 rows of biz. Per LH, 18 sitz.

It's the same soft and hard product as any other LH service ex NAmerica. Only smaller C cabin, CLH crew in the flight deck and lower wage FAs from LH.
This and other flights to CUN/MLE/MRU/PTY is the result of the 'JUMP' project LH had.

LH has just started serving TPA to much fanfare. However the A340 that is being used always is in the Star Alliance livery, instead of LH colors.
Would there be any particular reason for this?
Is this really LH metal?

Due to some old agreement with the German pilot's union from the 1990s, LH Cityline is not allowed to operate planes with more than 100 or 110 seats in Lufthansa colours. That's why all the LH Cityline A340-300 will be in Star Alliance colour scheme.

Its the so called KTV agreement that regulates what the mainline pilots get to fly. When LH conceived the 'JUMP' project to operate some longhaul destinations at lower personel cost, the FA unions agreed to lower wages on these particular flights, the pilots didn't. So LH went ahead with the project using CLH pilots.
