Both LH.com and FRA website are showing a new departure time of 14:45 with the same aircraft.

D-AIMI doesn't seem to have any technical issues, it left for JNB last night.
Often a fully loaded A380 returns to base instead of diverting to an unusual airport. They probably had to burn fuel anyway to loose weight so the trip back to FRA gave that opportunity. Note they descended to 25000 ft, which must have increased drag/fuel burn.
