The lowest Plusgrade possible offer to business class for the new BOM-WAW route on a one-way I booked (quite expensive in Y - $600) starts at $550.00.

I'm looking at LH/LX r/t fares going cheaper closer into my dates of travel, so canceling this booking, because LOT only flies 2x weekly to/from BOM...

If they confirm you and you have to change/cancel the underlying booking - can you get a refund of the Plusgrade payment?

Edited to Add: Since this was a test case, and after waiting hours on the phone to cancel, they said that the refund will be only processed *after one month*! ("Due to the Ukraine situation...") ::facepalm::

FAQ's clearly state, once your bid is accepted the amount is non-refundable.

Thanks - yes, appears not to be worth it - even if a direct flight - no wifi on board, only 2x flights weekly...

Using the war in a neighbouring country as an excuse to delay reimbursements and improve cash flow is a new low. How on Earth are the two related? Last I checked, no major payment processors were headquartered in Ukraine.

Weird, refunds been taking around a week in April.

Basia is saving money now perhaps to pay all the EC261 compensation she owes with her dreadful WAW ops. Quite a few cuts with onboard service. Maybe related.
