Most amazing HON ramp transfer

Yesterday my flight from Dublin to Frankfurt feeding into the Haneda flight was 2 1/2 hours delayed and we arrived in Frankfurt at 17.56 (the Haneda flight is scheduled to leave at 18.00). They got me from B24 to Z52 in 12 minutes and had the fully boarded flight waiting. The purser told me they where finished boarding by 17.50 and waited only for me. Truly amazing service.
While many here are constantly complaining about Lufthansa I wanted to give an example of why HON really works for me and only thanks to this service I am sitting now in the Lobby of my hotel waiting for my 15.30 appointment to arrive any second. Well done Lufty! ^^

Fantastic!
Out of curiosity, where you flying F? I am asking because I'm wondering if they do that also for a HON in Y or C or whether being an F pax with HON status "convinced" them to hold the plane back.

I have had similar RDS transfers travelling in C.

I once experienced this when flying with LX on OSL-ZRH-TLV. I felt very special that they waited for me, as lousy SEN in Y, until I found out that about half the feeder flight was connecting to TLV...

Anyway, OP, good that sometimes LH still knows how to make a customer happy! What was your class of travel?

I've had similar experience in Munich, eventho I was travelling in economy and only FTL. Granted, it was six of us connecting from Helsinki to Hong Kong. Plane waited for us and departed the moment all had arrived inside the plane, it was less than 15minutes on the ground. Most surprising was that even out luggage made it through that transfer.

It seems 15min can be done in MUC. On the 1st of February I arrived at checkin at T-40min (OK, that was pushing it, but still OK) and the new CTIP/Altea wouldn't process my upgraded ticket, which took 25mins to sort out. At T-15min it finally worked and the BP & luggage tags printed. The gate was informed so they waited for me and closed the doors behind me. Amazing my luggage made it too

I had a similar experience yesterday flying;
TGD (Podgorica) - VIE - FRA on Austrian in booking class Q, I only had a 30min connection.

The flight from TGD arrived on-time (left late, but we had a strong tailwind) and parked at an apron position.

I was collected at the apron, driven to and personally escorted through passport control and security, then driven to another apron position for my onward flight.

Whole thing took just 15mins (including waiting for my baggage delivery at aircraft).

Recently in ZRH on a Schengen-Schengen connection:

Due to delay my connection time dropped down to less than 15 min.
A lady from HON service was waiting for me in the jetway directly at the aircraft door. We went down the stairs from the jetway to the tarmac, into the limo and drove directly to the Jumbolino at apron position. Here the doors were closed immediately behind me, "boarding completed" and off we went. ^^^

Holding a boarded plane full of passengers hostage for 18 minutes to please a HON? That's good customer service 1x and terrible customer service 180x + .

Never got such luck.
But AFAIK the likelihood is increased if there's more than a single pax connecting onto a X flight.
A 10/15 min. plane hold is made within the slot frame, and a quite common occurrence.
I do agree with weero though.
