Awful. German Werbung can be sooo embarrassing. When is somebody going to dub in a funny (and appropriate) text over it? Maybe something about Gartenzwerge...?

Very interesting.

Any idea what the break-even level is? I know many, many, years ago I heard a figure of 70-80%, but that was for a full service airline (and of course varies per airline and route) so I don't know and assume this is not valid any more.

Somehow MIA is not getting the cruise traffic they had planned to contract. Also EW is not able to sell all their flights via LH/UA (yet).

EW longhaul seems to be doing pretty well, only MRU is <80% and MIA is down in the dumps.

Europe-Miami is flooded with capacity. When BA/IB/DL/AA often have offers below EUR 350 (return, incl. taxes/fees), how can any new entrant compete?

Awful. German Werbung can be sooo embarrassing. When is somebody going to dub in a funny (and appropriate) text over it? Maybe something about Gartenzwerge...?
The ad is very German indeed. The most important thing for a German being on holiday is to complain. The ad ridicules this notion. Other nationalities rather enjoy the holidays, but the German gets up at 6am to reserve his sunlounger on the pool with his towel - and using this sunlounger maybe for one hour for the entire day.

If dinner (all-inclusive) is running from 6pm to 10pm, the German gets in line at 5.50pm to get a good spot to get some pieces of the lobster. A big complaint is launched, if the hotel opens the buffet one minute too late.

My Chrome browser autotranslated your statement to "EW is a man who is in the dumps." Really confused me for a moment until I saw it has been translated.

I find it funny that Polish also think this is their national trait and are 100% convinced anyone who does that *must* be Polish

The Brits battle the Germans for the best spots in the morning. Its fun to watch in southern European hotels.

MIA is most likely not sold well because EW doesn't have a license from DOT to sell tickets in the US (yet).

Looks like you can buy from the US now. Just checked Eurowings.com and you can buy LAS-CGN. And to add on to that, looks like they're not trying to necessarily go after originating US customers either. The same CGN-LAS roundtrip that might go for between 500-750 Euros for a European originating passenger, retails for around $2,000 US Dollars roundtrip.

EW Loghaul expansion is now on hold, the seventh A332 is late and coming only in late 2017. The further expansion has now been deffered to winter awaiting the outcome of AB restructuing and how the SN merger with EW is supposed to be done.

Yesterday it was leaked to the press that EW will get 3 A332 from AB to start EW longhaul ex MUC in Summer2018. No wonder Condor just cancelled all longhaul flights from MUC for S18.

https://www.eurowings.com/de/4u/unte...muenchen2.html

Eurowings, currently Europe’s fastest-growing airline, is bringing low-cost long-haul to Munich. Following the strong expansion of low-cost European flights, particularly as a result of renting 33 aircraft from its cooperation partner Air Berlin, Eurowings is now also providing a broader base for the long-haul business. Only eighteen months after launching the first low-cost long-haul routes at Eurowings home airport Cologne/Bonn, the decision has been made to create a second long-haul base, this time in the south of Germany. Next year, Eurowings will come to Munich with three long-haul Airbus A330 aircraft (summer flight schedule 2018 onwards).
The 3 A332 will come from EW's existing CGN fleet and operate the routes Condor operated ex MUC in the past.
