Interesting the on & off switching game of F class on certain routes. Not sure what their thoughts behind that on & off.

According to Airlineroute:

Austrian Airlines today (24OCT18) announced planned service increase on Vienna – Tokyo Narita route, for summer 2019 season. From 31MAR19, the airline will introduce 6th weekly flight, and 7th weekly flight will be added from 01MAY19.

Boeing 777-200ER operates this route.

OS051 VIE1745 – 1155+1NRT 772 D
OS052 NRT1335 – 1835VIE 772 D
This is interesting following ANA’s decision to start a daily service between HND and VIE in February 2019.

I have no first-hand experience but, based on the numbers and the reviews I've read, there doesn't seem to be a lot of demand for this flight.
How long before Lufthansa axes this route? Any chance of a turnaround?
SAN is probably not a big Star Alliance community to begin with. But I hope this route somehow survives.

They didn't drop the route like they did with SJC-FRA. Or even switch it out to CityLine. And they will be operating three of the five weekly flights with the larger A346 starting in late March.
