Same here. Despite I really like China Southern as an airline, I found out very soon that SkyTeam had nothing of interest to offer to me.

So I just fly them when they are far more convenient than a *A or OW carrier these days.

The calculation seems to be based on the number of days you have held status.

Each day of FTL accounts for 1 point, each day of SEN acounts for 2 points and each day with HON status counts as 3 points.

You will receive one star on your card after accumulating 5.000 points and 2 stars after 10.000 points.

The new LH exclusive magazine seems to mention some details on page 98.
Anyway, I thought I'd share this non stop nonsense.

A rough calculation told me that I have ca. 12.500 points to date ... I must be quite mad to actually even think about doing the math here.
Hello,

The introduction of "Status stars" is mentioned within an extensive information about the revaluing of some booking classes.

http://www.miles-and-more.com/online...l=de&cid=18002

--> Zustzliche Anerkennung fr langjhrige Statuskunden

Hope this helps.

This is only send in DE isn't it? I like the photo of Franz leaning on the NEK seat, I can only imagine how far back that seat would move with him leaning on it.

It is 11/2013, which arrived as printed version sometimes last week. Not yet uploaded to the web, since shipment is ongoing AFAIK.

nonsense

Thats just nonsense. And beside they reduce the miles for the most eco fares.

Outsorcing the european flights to Germanwings. A low budget airline and so on...

Miles & More get to an worthless program

The only program worse than M&M that I can think of is UZAir Plus. A gold card there is even harder to reach than HON Circle.

Didn't they say that they do not plan introducing lifetime status?

See post #71:

I think they said "there will still be no lifetime status but we will introduce stars to enhance the look of your card".

I don't think there's anything to discuss given the clarity of this statement, with the exception of the sanity of LH's board members.

Given several of their recent statements and decisions, has not the level of sanity amongst the board members already been made clear?

German newsmagazine DER SPIEGEL has checked with Lufthansa what Service Stars are good for. LH spokesperson: for nothing. Well done, LH!

http://www.spiegel.de/reise/aktuell/...-a-930702.html
