Was pleasantly surprised to see Taittinger Comptes de Champange FRA-IAH a few weeks ago. In 4 long haul segments this was the only to serve the good stuff.

SQ Suites SIN-MEL: Dom Perignon 2003, Dom Perignon 2004 and Krug!

Lufthansa had a couple of nice champagnes after May 1, including La Grande Dame 2004 and the Taittinger Comptes 2005. I am not sure why they are going cheap again: Even the menus featured Gratien as the only choice in September/October.

2x fra-jfk segments and this stuff was not served even though it was listed on the menu only Gratien poured

2x jfk-muc-jfk...only Gratien poured.....this was in the past 3 weeks

Krug champagne makes its debut on LH!

I am just looking at the wine list for Lufthansa's flights in December and I almost fell of my chair: Krug is making its debut on Lufthansa!

In December, LH First Class flight will either feature 1999 Cuvee Louise Pommery or Krug champagne!

Since May, Lufthansa has featured La Grande Dame, Veuve Cliquot 2004, Taittinger Comptes de Champagne and Krug. I like the idea offering choices - much more exciting than 10 years of "D"...

In my Inbox :-) There has to be a little love and attention for a HON Circle member from time to time...

This is only for December, it will not be available on all flights and you should feedback to LH that this is a great idea :-)

Wikified the thread with a summary of LH F bubbly I made for a friend (to resolve a bet that LH served Dom in F in the past 5 years). I know its in German, but would appreciate it if a CW could update/prettify it

Based on how often LH has poured an inferior Champagne to what was listed on their wine list, I wouldn't get too excited about actually getting Krug on the plane.

I don't want to be a killjoy, just keeping it real...

Have you bought that ticket when you were sober?

You need something stronger than champagne to survive that class of service...
