PartnerPlusBenefit 2009 – Ihr Wegweiser
Neue Möglichkeiten und Teilnahmebedingungen bei PartnerPlusBenefit

Sehr geehrter Herr Rambuster,

Vice President
Key Account Management

Beat me to it - got the same - now they are splitting the earning rate for biz in 2 - one is discounted biz = D & Z with lower earnings than before.

The big Q will be when M&M will introduce the same ?

Cheers

Thomas

Wow!
The Enhancement is coming close.
When they enhanced M&M the usual answer of them was:
You still get plenty of PPB points! Now this is enhanced!

For me it is a drastical change:
In Genereal less points on my Booking Classes/Routes
and Upgrade from Z/D to O are nearly doubled in price.

Nice Detail: No Points for J on LX!

So an other incentive to fly LH is passed away.

There goes PPB:

My last Upgrade SIN-FRA was from Z to O was 43.000 and is now 92.000
More than doubled.

Earning:
Domestic:
Was: 400/200: Now 400/250/100

DE-SIN:
Was: 3800: Now 3400/5300

More business for the competitors.
Sorry Guys, I thought you learnt of the August 2004 Desaster.
I have a Deja vu.

And it is quite a good timing with the economc crisis at the moment!

Amazing.
Just an example for DE to US West (New region and separate from US East now):

Collected points for paid flights oneway:
F: 8'300 (so far 9'300), -11%
C: 5'200 (so far 4'100), +27%
D/Z: 3'300 (so far 4'100), -19%

Oneway Award flights:
F: 162'000 (so far 51'500), +218%
C: 76'000 (so far 39'500), +92%

Oneway upgrades:
C to F: 64'500 (so far 25'400), +154%
D/Z to F: 96'000 (so far 25'400), +278%

Unbelievable. So far I could argue the C and F fares we pay with about 20% discount via PPB, when using this instrument. Now the discount is probably below 5%. My first guess, many LH employees working for PPB will need a new job after 2009.

Good timing to seriously annoy the SME customer base !
Instead of increasing the incentive to stick to LH when forward bookings in premium cabins seem to be taking a nose-dive, they basically cancel the entire program ....
BA and AF sales managers in Germany will be popping champagne bottles tonight !

There is no change on the PPB Austria Homepage today. But I think, we will get the same enhancements.

As for M&M we will have to pay probably 175K miles for a BIZ award DE-US and about 450K miles for F award DE-US. Upgrade C to F will be 125K miles or maybe 6 eVouchers.

19-Nov-08, what a remarkable bad day.

BTW, this letter of effrontery from that VP von Goetz has been send exactly 6 weeks before the end of the calendar year. Not one minute to early according to their T&C.

This is the only real problem I have with LH. In their bid to be "more efficient" they keep cutting benefits.

Believe me, I am. I totally have to recalculate and rethink my strategy. 312K PPB points on our account went from 12 upgrades BIZ to F down to either just 3 (from D) or around 5 (from C) on a west coast calculation.

I may call a BA sales manager tomorrow. Maybe LHR is not that bad.

Just went through Heathrow - if you are in C or F, not that bad...

Was flying 9w - first went to the Y security, this Lithuanian guy laughed at me when I inquired if he was Ukrainian (he said that Ukrainians would never be able to get a job in the UK! Uh...okay...) - that was *after* he was telling me to make my rollaboard "flatter" to sort of fit into the sizer they had there...

The fact that he was allowing me 2 pieces was impressive, but then I told him I was in C, and then he directed me to the Fast Track line, where I was not hassled at all...

Best bet would be to fly in/out of LCY - fantastic experience all around! ^

Edited to Add: Also, with 9w we were using the AA FlAAgship lounge - looked spartan, but there *were* some very nice tasting sandwiches of salmon, prawns/shrimp, other Indian snacks. The FRA SEN B lounge a day earlier also was even more spartan - Bretzeln ohne Senf! (How could they also remove most of the snacks, such as the chocolate-covered nuts they usually have in white & dark chocolate??) Amazing...time to lose LH or what??
