OS ORD-VIE-DEL in Y

We are flying out in November from ORD to DEL on OS and coming back on LH.

Fare was remarkably cheap - 1648 all in for 2 adults and one infant.

Has anyone had any experience with coach in Austrian airlines recently ? Any pitfalls to be aware of ?

The obvious pitfall is that you will be travelling in coach ! ;)

We are also looking to fly the same route in November and noticed the extraordinary low fare. We are also not sure how the experience will be with a little infant.

I have another question - we are expecting a child in July and then we fly out in Nov. While booking the ticket now, it asks for the name of the child and DOB. Of course we do not know that yet. How do we get around?

Thanks!

We have flown once now with the baby at 3 months old to NYC and that was fairly good. She cried for about 40 minutes on the outbound and 30 minutes on the inbound. Not all at one time. Held the baby in our lap as we flew *gasp* Spirit. Fingers crossed for November.

I don't think you can book the ticket for the infant now - you might be able to book your ticket now and then book another ticket for the baby once it arrives but I am not sure on that - you should call the airline to find out. But I would personally be more conservative and not book a nonrefundable airfare till the baby is here.

Just book for the adults now, you can add an infant at 10% of the base fare (plus aprox 20$ taxes) later by calling LH/OS, no problem at all.
