When I have flown it at least in business it has been pretty busy. I think there is quite a bit of industrial and government as well as NGO traffic between the two cities- seem to have seen a lot of UN and similar types on this flight.

You are upgraded to P. It earns you 100% miles. You can get upgraded from any revenue class, even lowest one, which earns 25% only.

OS P class earns zero miles on Mileage Plus. You better credit it on M&M.

Just to follow up, bid of 370EUR was rejected. But business class cabin was indeed packed and there were at least 20 seats in Y empty.

This is not correct !

Please know that you can earn miles in "P" booking class in Austrian airlines. However, you need to wait 15 days from your travel then we will submit your mileage credit request to partner. For submitting you request, we need a copy of your e-ticket receipt in addition to your boarding passes.
As background on why we need this information, the passenger receipt shows whether your fare is eligible for MileagePlus® credit.

OK. But I don't find any evidence of this on the official Mileage plus page https://www.united.com/cms/en-US/mar...spx?itemid=302

why would you do that? Buying the exit row for 40€ is much more comfortable on the A321.

this is unofficial. UA is aware of the OS P-class situation and has agreed to manually credit accounts.

I did "the experiment" because:
- I would get a better lunch
- I would get 100% and not 25% miles flown

Just FYI I think under the terms and conditions of the Smart Upgrade you keep the original mileage.

No, you get miles for P. I was booked in L originally, the miles are already posted as Business P.
