Thanks, great service. Very smart... think about it next time you have a question :/
For others who come across this:
- Smart Upgrade will book in P and credit miles accordingly
- red|Upgrade is handled like an opup, miles will be credited according the original booking class.
Perhaps worth to be added to the wiki.

Complex booking. Unable to use Smart Upgrade?
I have a long RTW trip in two weeks. It is entirely *A, and includes 3 different PNRs and 5 different etickets.
Precisely in the middle of this trip I have BKK-VIE on OS26. It is booked in S class. When I go to MyBookings on OS.com, I have no Smart Upgrade feature showing. I called reservations just now by dialling the OS Canada toll free number.
The explanation I was given for not being able to access Smart Upgrade is that I am not eligible due to my "complicated" booking with multiple etickets and airline file locators.
This doesn't sound correct to me. Any suggestions? Any OS lurkers here to provide assistance? Danke!

I could have selected TK on this routing (BKK-VIE-GVA) because of the more generous pitch in Y, but I decided to book OS and take my chance with Smart Upgrade. I did this only after investigating eligibility. The website says you need an OS booking. I have an OS eticket (257...). From the Austrian.com FAQ:
Is every Economy Class passenger eligible for getting a Smart Upgrade?
Yes, if you are holding an Austrian flight document (ticket number must start with 257…).
Exceptions are:
- Passengers travelling with children under 2 years of age
- Passengers booked within a group of more than 9 people
- Flight bookings which are not yet confirmed.
I am looking for suggestions on how to escalate this and/or communicate with an OS company rep on FT. Thanks for your help.

BKK-VIE 360€ Rejected December 6th 2014
According to my TA, there were 5 J seats available for sale just over 72 hrs before the flight. I only noticed one empty Y seat, but I didn't go out of my way to count them.
