Unfortunately there is no simple answer to this conundrum: LH can restrict award availability to specific offices, so people trying to find awards on Lufthansa will see different things depending on what partners system they are searching thru. Avianca, United and Aeroplan have far more limited access as say SQ, AI or BR.

Did I miss the memo on award travel(M and M) increasing the miles requirement? Business showing 56k now. What’s First now? It’s surprising that I’m seeing no availability in First, I was seeing some available FRA or MUC to LAX/SFO a week ago. Has something changed as far as releasing space in F?
ive fortunately been able to book MUC to SFO, in about 3 weeks, but thru YVR. I keep looking, hoping something nonstop opens up. My miles expire end of June so need to use, but I’m left with just a couple thousand. If mileage requirement goes up, I guess I won’t be able to change unless it’s very minor.

I called LX Senator Line Switzerland which I think is South Africa based and they told me O class is available and don't understand why it is waitlisted, but they can help me with LH flights because its a LH ticket. Of note 2 hours after ticket was issued I was confirmed on LX139 HKG-ZRH with 2 Evouchers on a flight F=7 I applied 1x UA GPU last Tursday afternoon, and stil lwaitlisted - on similar flights upgrade is confirmed withing 24-36 hours
If there a problem? Any recommendations/advice?

Should I cancel the Global and reapply it? Or wait? LX Sen line said O class is available Im assuming if awards are aviaalble to M+M and these book into O class then a Global should clear - or am I misguided in my thinking?

LH/LX call centers will see what the system has allowed LH/LX M&M members to have. This is not always the same as for United MP members. If you are waitlisted for O with UA MP GPUs the waitlist will eventually clear.

In the past 5 years every LH upgrade Ive applied with a GPU has cleared within 24-36 hours after applying the Global
On another note, is seating selection no longer possible? It has disappeared from M+M site and lh.com

If you are talking about using M&M miles for awards you seem to have missed this thread. The change was implemented on 9 May 2019 but announced back in January. Business awards to longhaul destinations increased by 7K miles (3.5K oneway) and First awards by12K miles (6K oneway).

My wife's account's about 1600 miles short if I wear to find the nonstop I want. I know I can move Marriott points over but that wouldn't make senses. Is there a way to purchase points from M and M directly? Did a search, didn't see anything on their site but the site does really suck now. I'm assume since I need the points available in within a week or two most likely that spending on their credit card won't post soon enough. Other ideas?
