The meaning of overnight

The translation is really bad but at the second look there is some humorous element in it. My first thought about the word "overnight" is some kind of advertising for a parcel company.

So if they reduce the service further the whole campaign is not about "Nonstop you" but "delivering passengers like parcels".

Let them board, give them a plastic bottle of water and off the plane goes....

This ad is intended for passengers in Germany/Europe and as far as I know there is no overnight LH flight to USA. It's a very misleading advert and should be reported.

LH would then argue that their latest flights from FRA leave in the late afternoon and gets you to your final destination (in the US) after midnight European time, bla bla.

I like your standpoint though! ^

They have more of these silly adds on plenty of Düsseldorf trams, I just don't like to honor them in taking pictures of them

Yes, we should stop giving them free publicity by discussing the silly adverts on FT.

But it's hard to resist.

This add is also misleading. With little money you travel in Y and it is not little sleep but no sleep at all, at least not when flying LH

I think the "little sleep" is trying to say that with "little money", you can be excited about exploring the world with Lufthansa.

However it doesn't come across this way - the first thing I think of is "uncomfortable planes = no sleep!"

It'd be better to say: Little money. Exciting destinations. Lots to share.

No, £49 won't take you to exciting destinations in the world - only Germany (one way) since the demise of Lufthansa Italia.

But if you click the "To the offers" link this is what you get:

Athens from £209*
Barcelona from £199*
Bergen from £199*
Bilbao from £199*
Billund from £199*
Copenhagen from £199*
Gothenburg from £199*
Helsinki from £199*
Larnaca from £199*
Lisbon from £199*
Lyon from £199*
Madrid from £199*
Malaga from £199*
Malta from £199*
Marseille from £199*
Nice from £199*
Oslo from £199*
Paris from £199*
Palma de Mallorca from £199*
Stockholm from £199*
Stavanger from £199*
Toulouse from £199*

Those flights do seem expensive. I've had returns to Budapest, Kiev and Sofia for between £140-170 return within the last 3 months. Maybe they're not so popular destinations though

Lower (one way) fares are still available, e.g.

London - Berlin from £49**
Birmingham - Berlin from £39**
Manchester - Berlin from £39**

Book non-stop flights from London, Birmingham and Manchester to Berlin from just £39**.
**One way economy flights including taxes, fees and charges

But these fares only pop up almost by accident. If you click the obvious links, "To the offers" or "Europe one way from £49**", what you get are the more expensive fares.

P.S. Oh dear, look what I've now found.
