i guess that explains why i can't find DEN-FRA for 2/13. might have to do YVR-FRA instead.

I found that the LH First Class tool was just plain wrong for my flight last night (LH491-27JAN). During the 48 hours prior to the flight, including 6 hours before flight when the inbound aircraft was well underway, it gave me the green signal for the new First. But when I boarded it was decidedly the old Blue product. Even the flight attendants said they have been expecting the new.

The blue seats with mattress pad and duvet can still be comfortable, but the seat controls and IFE are certainly dated.

Discovered today that you can easily check tail numbers directly (without going thru clicks) on the fraport website using the following URL:

Code:
http://www.frankfurt-airport.com/flugplan/airportcity?fid=LH999YYYYMMDD&sprache=en
ie LH442 on 2014-01-30 would have the following URL: http://www.frankfurt-airport.com/flu...130&sprache=en

The tool is meant to check the plan for 5-60 days out. At T-5days you have to switch to the flight status tool.

And of course as with any tool a last minute swap for operational reasons may happen.

Background is VW going tech after turbulence enroute to DEN:

The DEN route seems to get no respect at all, neither from LH, nor from the atmosphere.

Indeed.

Both YVR and DEN seem to be the unwanted cousins.

Is there any information when/if the A346s out of FRA will be retrofitted?

The FRA 346 will be retrofitted and moved to MUC, so there is no 346 with new F upcoming to FRA.

Ok, thanks! I have a FRA-BKK flight in mid-June that's currently operated by 346. I should probably resign myself to old F? Any equipment swaps been happening or wildcards that I'm clueless about?

ETA: Crazily I was able to book 7 of 8 F seats for my entire family with UA miles on that flight. I feel very, very lucky already.
