Flew the new F a couple weeks ago, and I really loved the separate bed. No matter how flat a seat gets, it just never feels like a bed to me.
I experienced a major drawback, however. The seats are so far across from each other that annoying couples may feel the need to incessantly shout at each other across the aisle and keep their neighbors awake.

Interesting. According to flightradar24 it doesn't look as if D-ABVW has flown anywhere since it was ferried back to FRA a few days ago.
Probably just a test run then...It's the first of anything I've seen--I'm not clear on the interworkings of D-check and upgrade--so I took this as positive--but maybe not--feel free to let me know!!
Thx!
According to Civil aviation website--it was in PEK for the service--so thought HAM was definate upgrade to having the bird in China!

"The last plane to be converted is B744 D-ABVW which is currently undergoing maintenance in PEK."
I'm on a FRE to DEN flight (old first usually now) in May--so hoping another 747-400 would get into rotation!

Two 744s went for D-Checks with AMECO in PEK this winter. Both should get the 74P config that was so far done in HAM.
