Thanks! I've updated the first post.

So this entry in flight24 was correct.

Hi NewbieRunner,

Many people had a tight connection yesterday because MUC was foggy and all incoming flights were delayed.
Our gate was H44.
I had only 10' in the FCL and I remember seeing one of the gentlemen. Actually his limo departed(to H38??) a few minutes before mine, and only arrived to the EWR plane around 20' after myself.
I wonder how it took so long for everybody to realize that he was not on the right plane.

Do they now drive you to your flight from the FCL even when it's a gate departure? It must be relatively new. Or was it because your connection was tight?

It was in an outside position. Sorry I did not clarify it.

That explains. @:-) So hoi polloi had to walk all the way to H44 to be bused to the plane?

Was the NRT flight in an outside position as well? I can't understand why they took the other gentleman to the NRT flight if it was parked at a gate...

1) hoi polloi - had to check it in wikipedia. Every day I learn new things in FT!
2) Do not really know where the NRT flight was parked but I notice there were many A340 in outside positions and a bit of a "casino" with the limo allocation in the FCL. I guess too many planes departing at the same time in apron position.

Cant understand why LH has put all their 346 with new F to MUC.
Well correct me if I'm wrong but LH operates 10x 747, and 8x A380 with the new F out of FRA.

It seems only fair that currently 7x A34X (soon to be 9), operate out of MUC.

Why would you give the priority to FRA over MUC? Clearly there is also a market for F class out of MUC, and therefore logical that LH also offers their best product out of this hub.

MUC has 22 A340/330 widebodies stationed there, 9 is a quite high proportion, also the 3 A330 coming in Q2 will tilt the balance further. I love it

Are the three A330's being delivered with the new F and J installed?

I made a little typo in the old thread. These 744's are leaving (or already left) FRA this year: D-ABVB, D-ABTA, D-ABTB and D-ABTC. 5 747-8i with new F and J seats will join this year.

Thanks. Yes, it makes sense since D-ABVC had the new F seats/beds retrofitted.

First off NewbieRunner, thanks so much for this thread. However, I can't understand why SFO doesn't get new F, but LAX does.

Please ask Lufthansa. However, I believe SFO gets the A380 with guaranteed new F at certain times of the year.

I note that D-AIHD is plying the route FRA-ICN today, does that mean I should get new F in August on that route?
