I guess by moving many of the planes equipped with new F to MUC, LH is planning to make MUC as a premium hub.[/QUOTE]

And of course, the retrofitted B747s are based more in FRA.

D-AIHR Today April 5th DEL or LAX?

Hi there,

Wondering why flight24 shows this plane with 3 different flights on the same date?

It shows a round trip MUC LAX and then the same day it shows DEL.

Here is the link:
http://data.flight24.com/airplanes/D-AIHR/

Any clue?

Meh, you beat me to it Oliver!

Just a note, those 7 destinations are not permanent but will rotate throughout the summer season, so don't expect to be definitely flying on DAIKP/Q/R if you are booked on those routes. Especially if one of them goes tech or delayed and has to be swapped. Don't forget it is only going to be a fleet of 3 aircraft!!! So don't expect miracles!

The following codes will be used to denote retrofitted A330s:
33P - New F
33Q - New F & C

The plan seems to be, to have around 18 destinations served by New F from MUC this summer.

A quick look at the 747 with new F and all the birds seem to have changed route focus since the start of April. Some routes that hardly ever got the new F no seem to be regularly flown, such as EWR. Others that were getting it have dropped off.

Is this coincidence or a planned schedule shift by LH?

Which routes are you seeing the drop-off on? I am still showing KIX served by new F. Two more daaaaaaaays lol. Come on LH.

[edit] actually, only one day now that I think of it. Tomorrow's LH740 departure determines what I fly on Sunday. Moment of truth! Today is D-ABVH.

How accurate is flight24?

For example when I look at LH405 (JFK-FRA) I see

LH405 was flown on 2012-04-05 by D-ABVN (B744)
LH405 was flown on 2012-04-04 by D-ABVW (B744)

But when I look for D-ABVN I see

DLH728 seen @ 2012-04-05 23:39 CET on route from FRA to PVG
DLH405 seen @ 2012-04-05 11:13 CET on route from JFK to FRA
DLH404 seen @ 2012-04-05 00:16 CET on route from FRA to JFK

Are the dates off by one or something?

Flight24 isn't too reliable. If you're looking for ex-FRA flights, use the airport's web page - it lists the registration numbers of arriving and departing flights.

So the chips have fallen, and looks like D-ABVK is flying LH740 today - so unless LH has parked an old config F at KIX for a month or more, and considering ABVH flew the previous day, looks like I'm getting a new config 747 tomorrow. Happy!

Thanks. I've added this info to the first post.

BTW according to flightradar24 it looks like D-AIKP flew from TLS to HAM on Thursday.

You're right. The ferry flight was on the 5th . Later than expected. LH demanded some changes
