M&M after the system conversion

My first two impressions:

-flight credits (at least on LH metal) appear sooner compared to the old system (which is good)
-mileage discrepancies do appear on my statement:

NARITA-MUNICH +5.866 +5.866
Executive Bonus +1.467 +1.467
LH715/LH715
Economy Class

MUNICH-TOKYO +5.878 +5.878
Executive Bonus +1.470 +1.470
LH714/LH714
Economy Class

Outbound was prior to the switch (MUNICH-TOKYO) and inbound was after the switch (NARITA-MUNICH).

Interesting.

Currently my account is showing ca. +400k HON miles (presumably 2011 miles), some strange award refunds also appear.

Other users are reporting:

- reduction of status validity (2013 instead of 2015)
- flights missing
- accounts no longer found at all ...

Wow, NRT is now 12 miles closer? Well done M&M!!

ZRH-NRT is even better. It was 6024 miles before the switch, but now 5960 miles according to M&M Mileage Calculator, i.e. 64 miles closer!

Software glitches after system conversion

Same here! Would've been a real surprise if there were no glitches as a result of the so called "move"! And of course the new software calculates the distances in favor of LH! Maybe they are also saving some fuel now

Anyway! I hope they will sort everything out sooner than later.

I also was quite quite surprised that my status expires next Feb. I was sure it was valid way longer into the future, but never cared to take a note. Now, I guess I know why ...

(it must have been at the very least 2014, since I certainly requalified in 2011)

Is there any consensus about wait or complain yet?

To be honest, this sounds like quite a serious mess in data migration. Usually this kind of things are easier to roll back than fix ...

Did you seriously expect this to go smoothly ?

Too many dodgy First tickets from Third World destinations!
I have reported you to the revenue protection department.
I assume you will get a nasty letter from them soon !

The discrepany between
the distances according to M&M Mileage Calculator,
(ZRH-NRT 5960 miles and MUC-NRT 5866 miles)
and the miles actually credited for LX and LH flights
(ZRH-NRT 6024 miles and MUC-NRT 5878 miles)
is nothing new and existed already for many years.

I expect that when the temporary problems after the
SWITCH are solved, the credit of miles will return
to the pre SWITCH values.

I highly doubt it. This would LH cost twice:

1) fixing the problem.
2) giving out more miles than if they did not fix the problem

It's easier to say that "due to high customer demand the mileage earning levels have been adapted".

HTB.

Exactly. My understanding is that the penalty is to be given an AirBerlin "red" card for life.

Seriously, however, the HON circle miles are showing up completely wrong- status is correct- but the number actually changed when I did a "refresh" of the page in Firefox- so I wouldn't count too much on it.

Miles are posting very fast now- it does look like distances have changed by a few miles (obviously shorter not longer)- I guess the great circle changes depending on how you look at it?

I hate that the city pairings on the account statement are now in UPPER CASE ...
e.g. DULLES INTL-FRANKFURT MAIN

also I think I noticed they changed some airport names
