LH continuous insult to award TKTS passengers

While all other airlines print the letter F on the boarding pass for passengers holding an award ticket in first class and also the same thing apply to business class travel, LH is going against the norm by printing the letters O and I on the boarding pass to let their staff know that the BP holder is flying on an award ticket not on revenue ticket

Shouldn't LH stop that kind of insult to its passengers, who are flying on an award ticket, assuming that the award ticket is something we earned not got it from LH on a charity auction ?

There is a BIG F on the BP and a small O in the spot for the booking class. Other airlines also print the booking class on the BP, I don't understand why this is so troubling. The average passenger doesn't even know what all the codes on the ticket mean.

And at most stations they'll put your BP in one of these whether you are on award or not.

The staff (gate, onboard) can see that you are travelling on an award ticket, got upgraded, staff travel anyhow. I don't see a problem with that.

At least LH offers F awards at all. It is nice to know that if one would ever get an SQ F award the booking class would not be printed on the BP.

Air Canda also shows the booking class (in this example 'J')

And OZ prints a fat "NO MILES" on the BP as well
Seriously, don't understand what the problem is. Have travelled on an award or upg ticket many times and have always received the same treatment as everybody else.

SAS marks airport standby miles upgrades with a manual remark so you don't get to go to the lounge

I couldn't care less what they print as long as I get my seat in F !
(btw SWU upgrades book into F class and not O, only M&M upgrades book into O)

...well, onboard is hit or miss...
But at least I can sleep well in LH F.
That's really all that counts for me.
(which is no excuse for shoddy service)

Personally, I'd be happy to fly just once in F, no matter what insulting things they printed on the BP.

+1. What difference does it make if O is on the BP?

Sometimes it's funny to read about the "problems" and "sorrows" we all have

Try web check-in and print your boarding pass at home - there's no booking class mentioned on these
