The unfortunate thing is that it didn’t use to be like that. It was never great, but it was “ok” and the F floor was kept closed for a very long time after the rest of the lounge reopened. So to be back in this fashion and considering the fares out of NY, it is dsappointing.

Last night in the F section in JFK: totally crowded, all seats taken, only one waiter. Mediocre food and wines.

Right. Captive markets and AF is also more expensive.

Not surprised at all by the overcrowding (I and others predicted it when it was announced that LX was going to move to T1).

While the AF lounge isn't all that and the "private room" for F is on the small side, the food is edible. The stuff in the "wine and dine" section, unless packaged or bread sticks, isn't.

Is the Senator lounge food pretty good and would it be advisable to simply have dinner here vs on-board? I've always found ground meals better in general

I'll be flying LH out of JFK Terminal 1. Looks like I could access their business class lounge since I'm flying business, but also appears there are several other lounges I could visit with Priority Pass. Can anyone recommend the best lounge to visit in Terminal 1? My options are LH, Primeclass, Turkish, Air France or KAL. Since I'll be arriving around 1PM, I'd be most interested in the best food, peace and quiet a plus. Alcohol won't matter.

You're asking in the wrong forum/thread. This thread is about the JFK Lounge situation for SQ which flies out of T4

Flew LH ex-T1 JFK yesterday. Only tried LH and TK.

LH lounge is a bit dated. SEN floor was quiet with nice views, but minimal food options. Chicken and rice, small fresh veggies, a few brownie type snacks. Bar seemed fine.

Turkish had a nicer lounge with a bit better food, including Turkish delight and baklava. No alcohol yet in the Turkish lounge as they are waiting on licensing.

PS Even priority/Precheck line at T1 was very slow. It took me 30 min to clear at 3pm.

Will soon fly from JFK in F for the first time post-pandemic. Any updates about the F section of the lounge would be appreciated:
- menu
- drinks
- busy times
- …

Thank you!

Flew out in the (supposedly) slow post-New Years period. F section was almost full. Don't recall the food, as I did not eat/

The elevator is still on key lock to access the F lounge. We were escorted to the flight and pre-boarded.

Any escort from check-in to the lounge through security?

Check in staff made an effort to get someone to watch her station and escorted through main security as VIP was closed at that time.
