You will have the bags sent through to the final destination.
In WAW you will go through passport control like everybody coming from outside Schengen and then security check to get you to the terminal airside and then again passport control to get to non Schengen gates.
Every control stop should take very few minutes.

To clarify the above, non-schengen to non-schengen transfer is possible at WAW without going through passport control. After leaving a non-schengen flight there are signs directing pax to the gate of their connecting flight (and monitors if you don't know which gate your flight leaves from). If that flight is also non-schengen then you just go through another security screening and directly to the non-schengen departures area.
Quite easy really, but it can be a bit frustrating when there are a lot of people waiting to go through security and you have a tight connection, but it's still generally quite quick.

LOT Transit Time in WAW
I am scheduled to arrive on a LOT international flight from ORD at 9:25 a.m. in WAW and am looking to possibly connect to a LOT domestic flight which is scheduled to depart WAW at 10:40 a.m. Does anyone know if that is generally enough time to clear customs and make a domestic connection? I assume, but don't know if I will have to change terminals. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I am using this as a nested route inside an award trip so I am not protected by the ticket. I have to decide how to handle luggage....I am on my way (with some equipment) to JRO, but am wondering if I can check it thru to my final destination, even though that is a couple days away. I've read some online stories about having to leave and then clear security again in WAW...hopefully, that's not the case.

I've established that there is a lounge that we can use during are 3 hour layover before continuing to cdg. Do we clear immigration in WAW or at CDG?
What is this airport like? Modern? Easy to use? Or do I need to be aware of issues. LOTs website seems to be behind the times as far as seat selection. Which gets me wondering about their facilities in WAW. Any good restaurants for lunch? Do they use euros?
I understand the connecting flight is on a regional jet and we will each have a set of 2 seats two ourselves. Any food service?

I haven't been there for 18mo now, but the airport is modern and easy to use. It was a different experience 10 years ago, but I quite like it nowadays. It does not feel congested.
There are a few restaurants airside also - remember having dinner at two of those. Reasonably good options from what I can remember.
I recall using credit cards, which certainly should not be an issue. EUR probably accepted also with change given in PLN perhaps?

LOT - 45 min Connection time at WAW
Hi,
I'm planning a reward booking through Aeroplan from YYZ-IST and it is proposing that I fly Lot with a connection in Warwaw. The flight from YYZ lands @ WAW at 12:10 and the flight to IST departs at 12:55, therefore giving a 45 minute connection. Is this in any way possible at this airport or is it guranteed I'll miss the connection? Worst case there is a TK flight on the WAW-IST route that leaves 2 hours later that I could likely get protected on if I miss the connection.
