BEY-FRA IFE + Service

Happy holidays!

On New Years Day, I am flying LH 1307 in C, the 450 PM departure and was curious as to what the IFE and service will be as I can't locate a FT TR anywhere online. Would any have some insight?

Also, due to a weird scheduling situation I had to overnight almost anywhere else in Europe as the arrival at 810 pm is too late to make the last flight into ZRH same day. I selected BRU randomly and was curious if anyone had thoughts on the best *wood property to crash at before my 10 am flight to ZRH the next morning.

Thank you!

Euro C, no IFE!

:(

But the good news is you will get saunas (i.e. hot towels) assuming the new regime will start before the end of the year. This is what LHPII posted in the NEK (die Neue Europakabine) thread.

Module D: from >150min.
- Aperatif service + coctail nuts
- Menu cards
- Large tray, hot meal
- fresh bread rolls
- beverage service
- saunas

:(

Now I'm rather disappointed. LH charges an arm and a leg for a short hop to Beirut and my inbound flight with BD from LHR has seat-back AVOD.

I can't believe I may experience a better product from their 'sister' company after all the bad BD reviews I've read.

Since when is BEY in Europe?!? ;)

CAI and TLV are operated by longhaul aircraft whereas BEY and TUN get Euro Cr@p service.

Could be worse though:

A nice little flight on an A319 to Perm in Russia with a nice stop inbetween in Nizhniy Novgorod:
FRA-GOJ 17:25-23:00 03:35
GOJ-PEE 23:35-03:00 01:25

If you want to upgrade with eVouchers BEY is no longer in Europe. :td:

Regions and destinations

Not quite the Middle East as we know it, i.e. Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria and Tunisia.

So if you live in one of these "Middle Eastern" countries you are deemed to be in Europe for flight award purposes ! Simple really !! :D

Well, although I'm a bit disappointed with LH and their lack of AVOD offerings, the departure time on New Years Day works the best for me as I feel I may be just a bit hungover. The TK times are awful at 340 am and 530 am and the BMI flight at 7 am doesn't peak my interest either. ;)

Thanks for the feedback, I will prepare accordingly.

Only if your flight originates in your country of residence.

CAI-CPH-CAI is considered an intra-European award for an Egyptian resident, but not for, say, a Libyan; while CPH-CAI-CPH is always a Europe-ME award, even for an Egyptian.

If you have a chance change your flight to BEY to BD as they have introduced real business class seats on that sector.

I can't do a 7 am flight on New Years Day, I've learned from past experience. ;)
