F awards on the A380 are currently only available to SEN and HON members of M&M.

Will this be a big thing??
Do you think they will do a big thing out of this? I mean, they have three?! other A380 destinations already but this is the first one to the States for LH.. I'm booked on LH400 on the 18/2 and I'll keep my fingers that there might be some give-aways or something..

I am very surprised how LH kept the number of seats in first class on the A380+744(new seating) to 8 seats only I guess they are having hard times filling these seats with their high fares in first class

it would be interesting to know if there is ANY airline out there who can consistently fill 8 (or more) F seats with paying pax, i doubt there is many, low fares or not...

BA, which has larger number of F seats on their 777s and 744s, has high loads on certain routes, however, I am not sure what is the % of revenue passengers and non revenue passengers.

EK and EY have ~50% lower labour costs then LH, BA, AF... And 20% lower fuel cost.

This article (NYT no less) quotes someone sounding pretty knowledgeable as saying that EK has 30% less costs than European legacy carriers:

Nathan Zielke, a transportation specialist at the consulting company Arthur D. Little, estimates that Emirates’ overall costs, including those for labor, are 30 percent lower than those of its rivals.

Sigh.. Mar 4th is my birthday so I was truly hoping to enjoy my premiere experience aboard a 380 on that day but apparently not...

Searching for the flights for Christmas I noticed that LH400/401 appear to be flown on A330-300 starting in November this year. Are they moving the aircraft to another route or just different flight numbers?
