How is F from LAX?

I couldn't find anything specifically regarding LAX in the search so here goes:
How is the departure experience in F regarding LAX? I know it's TBIT but is there a PA escort or is this just for HON's? Priority security etc. and is there a FastTrack of sorts on arrival? Thanks for your help. Let me know if there are other threads about this

Hi,
I did LH LAX-FRA in F in October.
My exerience was, no PA, no fast track. (There was a fast track but it was closed at that time.) The lounge was nothing compared to the LH First lounges. Nothin special in other words. Apart from sitting behind Gene Simmons Wife, Shannon Tweed ;-)

My experience was the same as above but without Shannon Tweed !

Security took an age with no fast track or escort.

Lounge is the generic Star Alliance F lounge which is pleasant but no better than a decent C lounge. No escort to the plane from lounge just a standard boarding call.

Basically there is no special F experience when departing LAX.

MUC/ZRH/FRA-LAX and RT is my standard shuttle.

I cannot differenciate if a service is redered because of F or because of Hon Status.

1) Departure PA: They ask if you need help finding your way to the lounge, I always say no..
2) Priority Lane at security. Pretty esotheric. Last time it directlz lead me to the porno scanner :/
3) F-Lounge: There is a small lounge just for Star F-Pax, Hon Circle are treated as *G and have no access. It is just smaller, more silent, that is all.
4) Lounge PA can accompany you to the gate and arrange preboarding
5) Preboarding upon request with Gate Team
6) PA upon arrival in jetway (guess it is HON feature), can be helpful with the immigration cue, can put you infront the aircrew/CD immigration booth (happened to me 1 time in 25 trips) but most of the time bring you to the shortest cue. Will pick up your luggage and put it onto a cart, shows you the best way to the shortest cue.
That is pretty much it.

1) Only a HON service by both LH and LX, no PA for F pax.
2) So and so. In busy times it helps a lot. I would not consider a simply naked person a porn star btw.
3) Correct
4) This is a LX only service and given for all F/HON pax.
5) LX only
6) A pure HON feature. LX PA has chances to bypass the long lines (a daily dice), whereas LH gave up to even try and just picks up your luggage.

So you are saying, that you were on a LH flight and a PA did bring your from the *A lounge to the gate and did arrange for pre-boarding, i.e. before boarding starts for other pax?

This must be either pretty new or may only work occasionally.

lounge attendant brought me from the *A lounge to my seat! actually. she asked me when i entered if i wanted to board first or last, i chose last, went to the gate, nobody left, doors closed right after she got off the plane... i was in 1C as HON, was maybe 2 yrs ago...

The only time I flew LAX-FRA some years ago (my very first F flight BTW), the ground experience was abysmal: Baggage shlep from c/i back to the screening point, looong queues at security and a mediocre (I think AF) lounge.

OK, the renovation of TBIT is in its final stages. Luggage being dropped off at check-in, priority lane for pax and a Star Alliance Lounge with F section (and only F, no HONs allowed). When it comes to lounges, that one is one of the better ones in the US (imho, ymmv).

Besides the two nude-o-scopes and the new TSA love pat and long queues for immigration on the flights arriving in the afternoon, TBIT has become a good experience, especially compared to the past...

It works with LH- you can also ask if you want to board first or last.

Very interesting. Had the PA always with LX but can't remember one on LH, although travelling in F and being HON. In January I will be twice on LH457, so I will see...

If you are not offered- ask at check in. LAX is a miserable airport, and if you don't eat before security you will starve- however the LH staff there are very good.

Well, I did get the PA from LH checkin via security to the lounge without asking. But they never picked me (or anyone else on a LH flight) up at the lounge for boarding. Actually I don't think I would really need it and would not extra ask for it. LX does offer it for all F pax and HONs without arrangement, fine with me. LH seem to offer it only upon request. Well, good with me as well. Then I don't need it.
