I got 5hr layover at cai airport before my lh f flight to fra. What lounge options do I got? |
Nothing to write home about!!
I'd spend the time somewhere else, like the leMeridien Heliopolis which is close to the airport. |
Don't know if there is something else avail for LH F, but SEN/HON/*G/C passengers are directed to Egyptair *A lounges. There are 4 of them in T3, all the same. No food, some snacks, soft drinks, no alcohol, otherwise lounge/seating is ok, free wifi.

You'll most likely be given an invitation to the MS lounge closest to your gate. Nothing sinister in that, it spreads the load across the lounges.
They are absolutely fine: as comfortable as you could expect, split into mini-zones, some with TV, others more quiet. There are refreshments - nothing special: just soft drinks, tea and coffee, with sandwiches, cheese, biscuits and cakes. Also free wifi, a notch up on the FRA's etc of the Star empire. The terminal itself has a number of fastfood outlets and duty-free shops. |
I was very pleasently surprised at how modern and comfortable the MS *A lounges were on a recent trip. Good wi-fi, nice seating, TVs, cold drinks, decent coffe machine and nice cakes/snacks etc. Much better than others I could mention.....all good ^

If you do a lounge search on lufthansa.com for "First Class" and "Cairo" you get two hits: Airport Cairo International Location Departure Terminal 3 Name Egypt Air STAR Alliance Business Lounge Opening hours 24 hours and Airport Cairo International Location Departure Terminal 3 Name Egypt Air STAR Alliance First Class Lounge Opening hours 24 Hours If you search for "HON Circle" and "Cairo" you only find Airport Cairo International Location Departure Terminal 3 Name Egypt Air STAR Alliance Business Lounge Opening hours 24 hours  |

I was still never in an F Lounge in CAI even when flying in F. Perhaps it is new or I didn't notice any difference?
Does this give a clue? |
