LH620/06JUN...why did it skip RUH?
LH620 operates FRA-RUH-DOH.
Today it left FRA over 3 hours late and seems to have gone directly to DOH overflying RUH.
Does this mean the RUH passengers will have to wait to get off in RUH until the return DOH-RUH-FRA sector?
Of course this will make them even later but I guess it helps people connecting DOH plus reduces the delay on the return sector to FRA.
Of course this is just my guess.
Does anyone know what really happened?

This makes sense to me. Although it means that FRA-RUH pax are delayed, this option minimises the delay for all the other passengers combined and ensures a near-to-normal schedule on the return sectors. The alternatives are:
(1) run the whole schedule with a 3hr delay on every sector. This not only inconveniences more passengers but might also have knock-on effects to LH's schedule the following day
(2) run the trip as FRA-RUH-DOH-FRA skipping RUH on the return. This is also not optimal as many of the RUH-FRA pax on the return leg won't have checked in by the time the flight would have to leave RUH 2hrs or so earlier than usual.
I've seen this done by BA also on the AUH-MCT run where they skip AUH on the outbound to make sure they come back on time.
Normal schedule:
[KVS Availability Tool 5.4.5/Diamond - Amadeus: Timetable/NL-BCDF]

For sure not, as more of 2/3 of the passengers boarding LH620 in FRA are leaving the plane in RUH.
The reason for the onward leg to DOH of LH620 is mostly due to the regulations for LH staff, not allowing the stay of any crew members in Saudi-Arabia.
The load to DOH does not require a daily flight. But the high yield to RUH allows the empty flight to Doha.
It's the same for the flights to JED (onwards to Africa) and also Damman (DMM), flight is connected to Bahrein.
Exception is the new flight MUC-RUH (LH608/ 609, 3/7), but this is operated by PrivatAir, so this LH regulation does not apply.

Frankfurt airport-Flughafen Fernbahnhof (LH621 before)
I'm flying with LH 621 from Doha - (via Riyadh) to Frankfurt.
We have a scheduled arrival in FRA at 07.45.
1) How much time do I need to allow in FRA airport for the following transfer:
from Frankfurt Intenational Airport to Flughafen Fernbahnhof?
I need to collect ny baggage too. But I'm fast (if is up to me)
2) Is it reasonable to book a train (ICE) departing 10.29 from Flughafen Fernbahnhof or is it safer to buy a ticket for the 11.37?
(I'm asking because I'm taking a train to Austria and I need to arrange my schedule (pick-up) further than ...).

I haven't done this in a while, but your timing seems very reasonable. I once booked a train with 1.45h of arrival and don't recall having to run.
depending on your ticket/status, you might be able to use the arrivals lounges at FRA

Skipping RUH on the outbound flight does not seem to be that uncommon. I flew to DOH in February and actually the same happened to my flight, after the departure was delayed by 3hrs due to a storm.
The only annoyance was, that they promised some delicious seafood on RUH-DOH which I then of course did not get served
