why never any Biz redemption on some routes?
 

Hi,

Why are there never any possibility to make a Biz redemption on some routes. I am looking for a Biz redemption ARN-MILAN (LH1814/LH1815) and all I get is Economy, no matter what date I look at?

i just looked up random dates in august and get I availability on a bunch of dates on both LH1814 and 1815...

but why would you want to waste miles on a intra european C award in the first place?!

Ok August... I was looking at June (preferred June 27-30)

Well, because I have a paid ticket in C and want to bring a lady friend in C without having to pay a fortune.

I'll second sentom, and I'd like to remind you that LH Italia has really good fares even in Business, lowest I see ex-ARN is 2496 kr (~336EUR) in August.

With other starting airports it's as low as EUR241 for a round trip in C, not sure about Denmark.

Edit: I just saw you have specific dates, this won't help you much...

Do you redeem in Y (guess not) or you just don't do it Intra-Europe?

I find the Fly Smart C awards very decent value.
Even Y is tempting when LH is trying their extortion tricks when you just want a weekend away on short notice.

i don't do C shorthaul, its not worth it, even with flysmart. Y i only do short notice intra europe if i absolutely have to, this is when flysmart is most valuable in my opinion. but due to my status a intro european C award ticket does not make any sense as it gives me zero extra value...

I understand your points. For me the extra value comes from having a guaranteed free seat on a full Friday evening flight. Thinking rationally, the onboard service is probably not worth an extra 10k miles, but nevertheless is nice as a treat.

My thoughts exactly. Not the best use of 10k but I tend to have 4 segments on the award, so it makes it more enjoyable onboard.
And anyway in 30 years time I can tell my grandkids I remember when we had C in Europe. :p
