Basics about the evoucher:

Number of eVouchers needed per segment:
- Upgrade a shorthaul segment = 1 eVoucher
- Upgrade a longhaul segment (Longhaul= LH400-799)
- From Economy Class (other than K, L, T) to Business Class = 2 eVouchers
- From Economy Class K, L, T to Business Class = 3 eVouchers
- From Economy Class (other than K, L, T) to Premium Economy Class = 1 eVoucher
- From Economy Class K, L, T to Premium Economy Class = 2 eVouchers
- From Premium Economy G, E to Business Class = 1 eVoucher
- From Premium Economy N to Business Class = 2 eVouchers
- From Business Class to First Class = 2 eVouchers (although the website says 3 eVouchers, it will be corrected in due course)

Upgrade awards may be booked online with LH, OS, LX, SN, LO and Discover, or you can call to upgrade.
Alternatively, you can book at the check-in counter. Not all airlines offer immediate upgrades at the airport.
Evouchers can be used on any ticketed PNR, even if the flight operates after the date of expiry of the evoucher.
Evouchers can be redeemed with all Star Alliance partners - depending on the destination, airline, travel class and booking class.
For a list of award regions go to https://www.miles-and-more.com/row/e...formation.html and scroll down to select Your worldwide flight destinations with Miles & More.

How long do eVouchers remain valid?
- All eVouchers are valid for 24 months.
- none of your eVouchers will expire until 31.03.2024. This also applies to eVouchers that were re-credited after the cancellation of a flight.

With an eVoucher, you travel one class higher [link to general eVoucher information]

Yes & since LH group tickets are based on cost \ revenure & your saying this is a AV ticket, how are you ‘not even close ‘ to earning more award miles on P ticket ?

Oh, sorry - maybe I wasn’t clear — i meant that I’m earning so much more because of this being AV ticket, that it’s not even close to how ridiculously few miles I’d get on LH stock.

Puzzled by applicable fares... I'm looking to upgrade a flight in March with evouchers:

Code:
1 LH 762 W 02MAR 6 MUCDEL HK1 2 1215 0010+1 359 E 0 M
2 LH 767 W 10MAR 7 BOMMUC HK1 2 0125 0550 333 E 0 M

 * FARE BASIS *  DISC    *  PSGR      * FARE<EUR>  * MSG  *T
01 WRCDE * * P1 * 988.12 * *Y
01 SNCDE * * 1 * 858.12 * *Y
01 NRNDE * * 1 * 877.12 * *Y
02 NNCPDE * * 1 * 830.12 * *Y
01 ERCDE * * 1 * 2082.12 * *Y
01 QRCDE * * 1 * 1313.12 * *Y
06 PRNDE * * P1 * 2230.12 * *Y
The lowest evoucher upgradable fare is 860€, which is more than the PE fare... upgradable PE fare is just 150€ cheaper than the lowest business fare.

A business award would be 105k plus 498€ 'Taxes, Fees and Surcharges'

Q is fishy, everything else looks fine.

I agree that using evouchers here is bad value. I can't really say I'm on top of these things but those numbers (except for the one on Q) don't surprise me. The one or two times I've checked the best use of evouchers seemed to be going P -> O.

Yes, it’s hard finding a fare that makes Evouchers good value.... I was using mine on LX P to O.

Recent fare UK to HKG at 1400 GBP return in P upgraded to O was nice ^

Expiration of e-vouchers

Help! I just received an e mail from M&M telling me my two e-vs will expire at the end of the month. I thought they simply rolled-over? Advice welcome ...

Evoucher on SQ

Is the chance to use an evoucher from premium economy to business real or merely theoretical? I know SQ releases very little business award space but I do see occasional business seats on M&M from SIN to CDG, STO or BCN. Could I use my evoucher for one of those flights where business class is showing available, or is there another catch here? Thanks, ps

Slightly OT but M&M has actually been getting more access to SQ business class award seats than SQ’s own Krisflyer members... even as SQ PPS Club I’ve been booking LHR-SYD business class awards on SQ via M&M.

Your evoucher can definitely clear if there’s availability.

I managed two Y-J upgrades on a plane without PE (SIN-MEL) a couple of years ago, so it's definitely not impossible.

I tried many times to use them for upgrades C to F on SQ as a PPS and have never been successful.

Yes I haven’t heard of them clearing to F to be honest. C, yes, regularly.
