Basics about the evoucher:
Use of eVoucher:
- Upgrade a shorthaul segment = 1 eVoucher
- Upgrade a longhaul segment (Longhaul= LH400-799)
- From Economy Class (other than K, L, T) to Business Class = 2 eVouchers
- From Economy Class K, L, T to Business Class = 3 eVouchers
- From Economy Class (other than K, L, T) to Premium Economy Class = 1 eVoucher
- From Economy Class K, L, T to Premium Economy Class = 2 eVouchers
- From Premium Economy G, E to Business Class = 1 eVoucher
- From Premium Economy N to Business Class = 2 eVouchers
- From Business Class to First Class = 2 eVouchers
- *A carriers can be upgraded via the *A upgrade program (use the tool*)
- can be used for others via the tool* or if you are travelling with them on the same flight

- good for confirmed advance upgrades, however that is only possible if the original ticket is issued with the flight number of the operating carrier. If you have a codeshare ticket, the upgrade for flights operated by LH metal can be done at the airport.
- can be used on any ticketed PNR, even if the flight operates after the date of expiry of the evoucher.
How long do eVouchers remain valid?
- All eVouchers are valid for 24 months.
- eVouchers do not currently expire (confirmed in January 2023) including those which were supposed to have expired in 2021 and 2022.

Tried to use eVouchers to upgrade Mrs Vixit and I from Business Z to First on LX HKG-ZRH.
Flight is almost 11 months away, EF says F8A3 with no seats assigned, and I am offered online to pay EUR 3,300 per person for instant cash upgrades.
Called in, answer: only waitlist possible…

Colleague WL for C on FRA SIN for 28th Feb and the list cleared yesterday. The list does clear mostly before the bid upgrades are processed.

LO premium eco R upgrade to business
Does it take 1 or 2 evouchers now from LO R (long haul) to C ?
About 2 years ago i upgraded using 1 evoucher , but did it change now? (LH N takes 2 evouchers....)

You're better off booking W and above and using 2 eVouchers into C, especially as they so wisely got rid of shorthaul PE taking away that advantage they had over their competitors.

Sorry, I just found the answer to the below on the LH website. Kept original question intact and added answer below in case it assists someone else.
We used e-vouchers to upgrade intra-EU flights. We just checked in and while we're seated in business class seats, our boarding pass says "Eco Classic" for the Class.
Will we have lounge access and a free baggage allowance without regard to status?
It seems we will have business lounge access and an additional carry-on bag, but our checked baggage allowance carries over from our original economy fare.
