For that price you probably got more than you paid for :-).

But the service should be up to standard. I must say that the few times I have been on the A388 in C I also wasn't impressed. It almost feels like Y class with that big C cabin. And if the service is bad, then it is almost Y class.....My last two flights with LH however (also a 11/11 fare and a cheap eco fare) were quite good. Very good service... it really depends on the crew you get.

Thanks Newbie Runner for posting. As expected, the fares which were last year Z are now P.

These are not the "super discounted rates and corporate contracts" as we were originally advised repeatedly on this very forum. 2100 EUR to Vancouver? 1999 to BKK? That is the regular Z price. Wow what a deal.

What are the chances to see a similar offer ex-USA any time soon? I could use some discounted tickets for the July/August time period

There are First Class specials and Business Class specials which look far more attractive than ex-Europe fares.

What a useless organization it sometimes is..... posting business class fare offers on the Dutch site, and when you try to book them "This fare option is not defined in our database"....

Depends what you're looking for $2,700 for roundtrip ORD-FRA is certainly decent (but less decent now as it books into P) but I'm looking and waiting for summer fares in the $2K range. Let's see...

J-D fares had a 50-100 price hike twice the past quarter, no surprise the 'super duper lw lw' summer offer is priced higher. What is interesting is the C fares associated with trips to places like ZNZ on LH/ET on LH holidays ... @:-)

Opups are never to be expected on LH, not on any flight on any plane.

But mileage upgrades are possible. I took two trips FRA-SIN-FRA on the 11.11.11 promo myself and got three out of four legs upgraded to F and I'm only SEN. So you don't have to be HON to have the possibility to upgrade using miles or evouchers.
you are right - 11.11. promotion

Nice....made a dummy booking from provided link LX FRA-ZRH-VCE return and books into P which gives 2000miles per segment excl exec bonus. From the below conditions it does not really stress the fact its valid from Germany only. Conditions for P:
  • You have selected a Business upgrade offer that is based on an Economy fare.
  • Rebookings or refunds are thus governed by the same terms and conditions as the underlying Economy fare.
  • If the upgrade booking class is unavailable, any price difference between the underlying Economy fare and the upgrade offer cannot be refunded.
  • These offers are not valid on codeshare flights.
  • If a flight is missed due to a delayed connnecting flight or if a flight is cancelled, SWISS can rebook the passenger in Business Class on the next SWISS flight if a seat is available.
  • If the rebooking is on a flight operated by another airline, only onward transport in Economy Class is guaranteed, in which case the amount of the SWISS Business Upgrade would be refunded.

Interesting- however would anyone really book FRA/ZRH/VCE?? Given that the FRA/VCE nonstop is usually a flying time of 55 minutes and operates several times a day??
