Edited to Add: Not sure about the stopover bit, but might have been possible - I only wanted UA metal anyway, but had to do an LH segment...

I tried earlier and didn't get one. I don't know if it makes any difference, but for what it's worth, I didn't enter my Senator Miles&More number this time. I mean, if I was Lufthansa and the ideas was to find new customers, I wouldn't be handing out these codes to people who fly LH all the time anyway.
