LH charters?
I was on yesterday and saw a discussion on people arranging charters of LH jets for mileage points. Is anyone doing this or was i mistaken?

It's Lufthansa's private jets and it's real. Look for example here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...rs-wanted.html (there are more threads in the M&M forums). People form groups of 8 to drive costs down. AFAIK availability is running low lately..

You're not mistaken. LH is offering 5X M&M points on LH Private Jet that count toward HON status through May. Normally you can earn 10k/segment with a max of 6 people per charter.
This promo gives you 50K with a max of 8 segments for a total of 400k. Since it takes 600k points in two years to earn HON status, you still need to earn 200K through traditional means, but needless to say this can be a quick way to leapfrog from Senator to HON.
With HON you get the any class access to the F terminal and F lounges. They're being dubbed the Cesna HONs.

M&M or Miles and More is the frequent flyer program of Lufthansa and its integrated airlines such as Swiss, Austrian and Brussels.
