A340 tries to sneak out of FRA
A german tabloid just posted a funny picture about a parked A340 that tried to sneak out of FRA. Regardless of the correctly placed brake blocks, the unmanned rascal managed to set itself free and decided to have a little sight seeing until a fence stopped its adventure.
LH PR was confirming that the icy parking position and the nasty wind may caused that incident. Minor damage was reported and - naturally - that a/c is send to the penalty box for a close inspection before returning to active duty. |

It has no name... Perhaps it felt neglected. :( |
That's probably it!
Oh I would take the poor thing home in a heartbeat. |
Anyone know the tailsign?

Its protestations of "But, but, but, I am an LH Airbus, I have been flying with you a lot, in fact you need me to continue in business, who cares about a silly little card, you can see who I am", heard so often every day at the Cardie Checkpoint in the hallowed and long-distant halls of the SEN lounge, were to no avail. And so, a discrete slide out of the airport seemed to be the only remaining option. Recommendation: ALL A340s MUST CARRY THEIR SEN CARD IF THEY WISH TO STAY IN AIRPORT. AS FROM APRIL 1 ONWARDS, A-340s WITHOUT SEN CARDS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO LAND. |
Or perhaps it's a two-class A340. It tried to get into the FCT but was turned away because no First Class and feels rejected.
All airbuses should be given a HON card so they can get into the FCT whenever they want (with the same day departing BP etc. ...) |
