In addition to the companion award already mentioned above, the FTL card won't get the OP in any of the lounges at most airports these days (with the obvious exception of the LH groups' own lounges).
Yes, but off topic: why spend a couple of thousands euros for SEN *G card just to an access to lounges regardles fare class traveled? If awards points is the aim, just get your MasterCard and use it annually everywhere. When you book your award, you have to pay anyway all kind of fees. If your company pays your flights, that is a benefit for you. If you pay yourself, I think you'd better choose best connection and fare provider...

Yes, that's indeed very much OT w.r.t. the question if SEN offers added value compared to the FTL status.

But you are right that spending thousands of Euros for the purpose of lounge access only wouldn't be an economically sensible decision. But then again, show me a frequent flier enthusiast on FT who isn't a bit barmy. ;-))

New member referral bonuses ?

Hi Folks,

Any new member referral bonuses going around now ?

Need to get someone enrolled and wanted to check.. in this mileage crunch age, even a few '000 miles don't hurt

Cheers

I was considering flying longhaul in business.

A priority pass however would accomplish the lounge access issue in outstations.

Take flight and earn 11,250 award miles now
Dear Mr bartla,

Follow the example of our feathered friends and increase your flight activity. From 15 September to 15 December 2012 it will be especially well worth getting airborne: we will help you take flight with 11,250 additional award miles.

Simply fly during the promotional period with Brussels Airlines, Adria Airways, Austrian Airlines/Tyrolean Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Lufthansa or SWISS and earn at least 37,500 status miles.* Once you have done so you will have achieved your personal mileage target and you will earn your additional award miles as a one-time credit approximately six weeks after the promotion ends.

Register here to participate in this promotion and reward yourself with extra award miles until the end of the year.
I may be very dense, but I have realised I don't know what this means. It seems to suggest that a single flight will get 11,250 MORE award miles than normal.
AND 37,500 status miles, but these won't appear until 2013 (and so won't work for requalification)
Or does it mean EACH flight gets this (seems unlikely)

Help!

Your way of with your thinking....

What they mean is they want you to fly enough in a period of 3 months to earn 37.500 status miles (a number of long haul flights will be required). And only when you have reached that you will get 11.250 miles as a bonus....

Oh yeah, I just saw that: it's really annoying, as I had already ordered the first one. Ah well, you win some and lose some.

Do you really think that this is a good deal, or should one wait for a better one to come along?
