By mail I mean using postage to send out the flyer advertising this promo, my father received one but the miles have not yet posted to his account either. There was no personalized link or anything of the sort. I think they just haven't processed the miles yet.

Link doesn't seem to work just now, Oliver2002. Maybe it will become active a bit later. Thanks anyway, because there is a paucity of promotions this time. I mean, how am I going to convince someone to splash €598 for a year's worth of Handelsblatt just so I can get 15,000 miles? I wonder if they seriously get any takers for these ones.
Heinemann have a contest on in which you can win tickets (or the equivalent miles for an award ticket) to the USA:

But they're a bit naughty, because you can only take part once you have collected a minimum of 500 miles, which means spending €250 (which I'm certainly never going to do in a rubbish house like Heinemann). I thought competitions had to come with a free entry clause in Germany.

I know a few FT/VFTers who use the expense for HdB in their tax return and get 20-30€ or the 100€ back in taxes.

Huh, never thought of that. Probably won't be able to justify it for a tax return or even a basic need while working in an opera house!
The only other promotion I could find was on the Swiss site, for Pirelli tyres, if anybody needs such a thing:
